Exam Pattern & Selection Process

Selection is a three-stage process: screening of applications, a qualifying Trade Test, and a Competitive Written Examination. This section explains the marking scheme and qualifying criteria for the written stage. Online applications received within the stipulated last date are screened by a duly constituted Screening Committee, which shortlists candidates for a Trade Test in the relevant trade. The Trade Test is qualifying in nature ; its syllabus will be notified separately on the official website. Candidates who qualify in the Trade Test are called for the Competitive Written Examination.
