The total number of Senior Resident vacancies is 20, distributed across the following departments and categories: Category-wise total break-up: 4 UR, 2 EWS, 7 OBC, 3 SC, and 4 ST. Additionally, 1 vacancy is reserved for PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates, adjustable against the respective category vacancy. Note: Vacancies are subject to change at the time of the interview, depending on actual requirements, as stated in the official notice.

MBBS with a Postgraduate (PG) Degree / DNB / Diploma in the concerned specialty from a Government-recognized university or college. Candidates must be registered with the Gujarat Medical Council or the National Medical Commission (NMC). Candidates registered in another state must get registered with the Gujarat Medical Council at the time of joining. For the Senior Resident (Nephrology) post specifically, the qualification is MBBS with PG Degree / DNB / Diploma in Medicine or Pediatrics from a Government-recognized institution. Preference will be given to candidates holding a DM/DNB in Nephrology. Maximum age: 45 years as on the date of the interview. Age relaxation: 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Selected candidates will receive a Basic Pay of Rs. 67,700/- under Level-11, Index-1 of the Pay Matrix (equivalent to the pre-revised Basic Pay of Rs. 18,750/- in PB-3 with Grade Pay Rs. 6,600/-), along with allowances applicable under ESIC rules and the Senior Residency Scheme.

UR and OBC category candidates must deposit a Demand Draft (non-refundable) of Rs. 500/- in favour of "ESIC Fund Account No. 1", payable at Ahmedabad, at the time of the interview. SC/ST/PwBD/Female candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

Candidates must report at the Conference Hall (2nd Floor), ESIC Model Hospital, Bapunagar, Ahmedabad, at 9:30 AM on 23 July 2026 for document verification. Only candidates who clear document verification will be permitted to appear before the interview panel. Selection is made purely through a walk-in interview; there is no written examination. Applicants must report by 10:00 AM; entries after this time will not be entertained.

The Senior Residency tenure is for a total of 3 years, including any prior ad-hoc or regular SR service in a government institution. Appointment is initially for one year, extendable annually upon satisfactory performance review. Selected candidates must pay a Security Deposit of Rs. 30,000/- and execute an agreement on a Rs. 300/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper at the time of joining. No service benefits such as PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Seniority, Promotion, or Leave will be admissible. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining. Private practice of any kind is not allowed. Candidates who have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency in any government hospital are not eligible to apply under this scheme. Resignation requires 1 month's notice period or pay in lieu thereof. Hostel accommodation or staff quarters will not be provided. Vacancies are sub
