GATE Eligibility Criteria 2026 for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) allows candidates who are currently in the 3rd year or higher of any undergraduate degree program or have completed any government-approved degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities to appear for the exam.
IIT Guwahati is the Organizing Institute for GATE 2026. The exam provides opportunities for admission to M.Tech, MS, PhD programs in top institutes like IITs, NITs, and IISc, as well as recruitment in various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). GATE eligibility is one of the most flexible among national-level exams -there is no age limit and no restriction on the number of attempts.

GATE Eligibility 2026 - Age Limit
