Eligibility for AIIMS Rishikesh Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 is assessed as on the last date of online application submission, i.e., 04 August 2026. Below are the key eligibility conditions: Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination by the last date of application submission, with the result declared by that date. The tenure of the qualifying degree must also be completed by the last date of application submission. Candidates who have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency will not be considered eligible for these posts. OBC candidates must belong to the Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) as per the Central List of OBC, and their sub-caste must match the entries in that list. The essential qualification differs for medical and non-medical candidates, as detailed below. A postgraduate medical degree, namely MD/MS/DNB/DM/MCh, in the respective discipline from a recognized University/Institute, or an equivalent qualification. Applicable only for the Departments of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, and Physiology: M.Sc. / M.Biotech degree in the subject concerned, and Ph.D. in the subject concerned or an allied subject from a recognized University/Institute.

The upper age limit till completion of Senior Residency is 45 years as on the last date of submission of the online application form (04 August 2026). Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India rules and regulations, as amended from time to time. Candidates who have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency are not eligible to apply for these posts.

Selected candidates will be paid as per Level 11 of the Pay Matrix under 7th CPC, plus Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) as applicable.

The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid online only. The fee structure is as follows: If a candidate wishes to apply for more than one post, a separate application form must be filled and submitted online for each post.

The mode of selection may be a Written Test, an Interview, or both, as decided by the Competent Authority. The written test/interview will be conducted at AIIMS Rishikesh. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the written test or interview. Candidates working in Central/State Government, Semi-Government, or Autonomous Institutions must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of the interview. Vacancies advertised under the EWS category will not be carried forward as backlog if a suitable EWS candidate is not available; other category candidates may apply provisionally and will be considered as UR candidates only if the EWS vacancy remains unfilled.
